Early in the morning we will go out to sea and head to La Palma.

We will have a long crossing and a busy day. During the passage we will fish, learn to sail, or just relax and enjoy the ocean.

Depending on the wind direction, we will choose our anchorage. It can be the marina Puerto de Santa Cruz de La Palma, on the east coast of the island (60NM), or El Puerto de Tazacorte (75NM) on the west coast.

07/03/2024 Thursday

Today we will have a full day to explore the island. The best way to do this is by renting a car.

In Cajorro National Park, you may find volcanic landscapes with lava fields and canyons, as well as the Caldera de Taburiente crater. In the Forest of Dragons you will see ancient dragon trees.

The Los Tillos Cascades are famous for their waterfalls. In the Caminta Reserve you can explore unique ecosystems.

The historic district of Santa Cruz de La Palma with its colonial architecture, churches and fortresses immerses you in the island's past.

We will spend this day in the ocean again.

In the morning we head to the island of La Gomera. Our goal is the city of San Sebastian de La Gomera, the capital of the island.

The compact size of the city makes it ideal for walking tours, offering a combination of history, culture and scenic beauty. You can explore the well-preserved medieval fortress of Torre del Conde, stroll along the picturesque promenade and visit the Casa de Colón, where Christopher Columbus stayed before his voyages.

09/03/2024 Saturday

Today we will explore La Gomera, also known as Columbus Island.

Despite its modest size, this island is a real ecological treasure. Its coastline is dotted with small black beaches, surrounded by majestic cliffs.

The wild and mountainous landscape of La Gomera is full of contrasts: from palm valleys in huge canyons and desolate shores to magical forests.

The pearl of the island is Garajonay National Park, a prehistoric forest included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Exploring its many trails and routes shall become an unforgettable experience. It is home to a large number of rare species, such as the giant Canary lizard. This large lizard, up to 1 meter long, was once widespread in the Canary Islands, but today it is on the verge of extinction.

The island is ideal for hiking, offering amazing routes with spectacular scenery.

10/03/2024 Sunday

We return to Tenerife.

Our route will follow the strait between La Gomera and Tenerife. This is a great place to observe marine mammals. The abundance of food in these waters attracts whales, which creates unique opportunities for their observation. You have a chance to see striped baleen whales, sperm whales, orcas and even blue whales. The Strait is also home to a variety of dolphins and other marine animals such as turtles, sharks, seabirds and various species of fish.

By the sunset we will arrive at our home marina. In the evening, we will share our impressions over dinner at one of the coastal restaurants, and then continue to hang out on the yacht.

11/03/2024 Monday

Time to say goodbye until next time, as at 9.00 we leave the yacht.

We recommend staying in Tenerife for one more day to explore this incredible island.
